Who We Are
sassastatuscheckza.co.za is an independent, privately owned informational website run by South Africans, for South Africans. WE ARE NOT A GOVERNMENT SITE, not a SASSA branch, and not affiliated with any financial institution. We are a small team of South Africans who understand how confusing the SASSA system can be — especially when the official website is down, when you don’t know what your status result means, or when you get a “Declined” message and don’t know what to do next.
We built this site because we saw a real need: millions of South Africans are searching for help with their SASSA SRD status check every single month, and the information available was scattered, confusing, or buried in government jargon. We wanted to change that.
Everything on this site is written in plain, everyday language — the kind of language you’d use to explain something to a family member. We use the same words you use when you search Google. We answer the same questions you’re actually asking.
